How to keep photos from curling?

by Connie

I have always thought the photos on clipboards was such a cute idea. But how do you keep the edges of the pictures from curling up?

The only thing that came to mind was to laminate them.

You could put a thin line of poster putty on the back to hold them down. It is photo safe and looks similar to chewing gum.

Moisture is causing them to curl, so you'll want to keep them dry as possible. If you don't want to laminate, slide them into sheet protectors. I wouldn't use the putty because the paper is still exposed to the room's humidity.

Hi Connie, sheet protectors work great and you can get them in a matte finish so they don't gloss the photos

Use a cardboard backing and rubber cement.

You would have to use a bit of glue on the corners... Idealy you would put them in a frame.. with a glass cover

Glue dots provide just that right amount of adhesive and they're easy to change out when wanted. They are available on a roll at any craft store or DollarTree.

Hi Connie: If you don't want to put anything like a laminate on the picture, you can add it to the back. Or, you can put an inch or so wide 'frame' around the edge on the back, made out of cardboard. Then, use poster putty on the corners to hold it against the wall.

    Put them in frames.
