Not sure what kind of clasp. But a little cooking oil or WD40 on the clasp should work.

if the oil doesn't work it's probably caked with gunk put some Dawn dish soap on it and use a toothbrush then start trying to open it slowly working it back & forth. what kind of clasp is it ? Lobster claw,circle/oring,spring ring clasp? if it is not soldered you could always gently bend it(clasp) open and slide the clasp off of chain then put it back on/together.

dirt, lotion, skin cells, hair products get trapped in the part/opening that clasp has to slide in back n forth for it to open just try the Dawn and gently keep trying to work it back & forth with some really hot water(just don't burn yourself) maybe also wood tooth pick gently(don't break it off in opening) in opening to get dishsoap down in it. just keep working at it when you do get it off soak it really well in Dawn & boiling water(if it's solid gold) if not really hot water to get it cleaned out. use super small bottle brush or soft toothbrush. I buy pre owned jewelery & also make jewelry and have to get them cleaned up ; Dawn & hot water, white toothpaste and soft mini bottle brushes, engine cleaning brushes, soft tooth brushes cannot do without these items. Engine cleaning brush set is best investment if you own & care for jewelry
