Hi Brenda. Cindy here. Are you asking how to re-purpose a lantern? If you are, you could put a plant in it. Or you could put a candle in it. Either way, you could hang the lantern. If this was not your intention, please come back to us with a little more info. We would love to help you. Good luck Brenda and Happy Holidays.

Please post a picture of your lantern so that we can see exactly what you have to work with.

A missing piece is what is tripping us up. If a side is missing, that just gives you more access and a chance to change where the front is, if you want to. Nearly any part missing can be glued back in, or camouflaged with flowers or ribbons or greenery. A missing hook or hanger on top can be replaced with pieces from a hardware or hobby store, and Gorilla Glue or a similar adhesive. The chain itself can be metal, sprayed plastic, rope or ribbon, or vine-covered. A lantern can be attractive in any season, any style, as long as you enhance it for the purpose best wishes🤶🏻
