We have replaced the rubber garage door strip but there are some

small gaps where light is coming in.

    Hi Debbie,

There are several other things you can do to close that gap. Check out this article to see if it will help you. Wishing you the best.

My garage floor is old and in rough shape, so the door meets it in some parts but not others (hey - the house was built in 1952 and I've only had it three years - improvement takes time!). I haven't totally succeeded, but the best solution I have found is attaching sections of pool noodle to the bottom. It's soft enough to squish where it needs to and stiff enough to hold its shape (unlike pipe insulation, which was a total fail). It is not pretty, but it works. I need to find a better adhesive, though, so I can't recommend one that stays stuck long enough to not irritate me. I am thinking I will try liquid nails next time - just don't know if it will melt the foam.

Hi Debbie, it could be the door or it could be the floor not being straight, if it's the door, try this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0BEgNwlQB8

If it's the floor, mark the spots with with marker or chalk and add extra rubber to those spaces, good luck :)
