How do you unfreeze a 7" bolt in a door?

It became difficult to turn and then would not turn at all. Would like to fix it without having to replace it. They are now very expensive and cannot be bought at the local hardware store anymore.

Did you spray with WD 40, and let it sit for a day or so? -

Hello! Go to YouTube and search for Tips for Frozen Bolt Removal. It explains how to use heat and tapping first so you don’t strip the threads where the bolt sits. That is important for when you replace the old, rusted and corroded bolt with a new one. -

You can try either WD40 or silicone spray. Both are lubricants. -
