How to get a rusty nail out of a wall?

I'm trying to change the door knob in my bathroom. There is an old nail stuck where the old strike plate was. How can I get the nail out without chopping the wall up?

I was going to describe how, but found a video instead in hopes it would help you better since not always one way works for removing nails. You won't want to damage the wood of your jam, so just place a old wash cloth against the jam before trying any of these methods. http://www.finehomebuilding.com/how-to/video/nail-removal-tricks.aspx

If you find pulling it out a problem, use a dremel cut off wheel and cut the head of and then use a nail set to drive the nail into the wall and just put a small dab of putty over the nail hole.
