Yes. Use a flexible acrylic paint in satin finish in the color of your choice. Make sure they get an even coat on application. Repeat coat if necessary.

I would research the possibility of using Krylons all purpose spray paint.

Chalk paint works on fabric, and can be sealed afterwords.

Whether vinyl or fabric, vertical blinds can be transformed with a coat of paint. Specialty paints designed to adhere to the specific type of surface, such as fabric paints for fabric or spray paint for plastic provide the best coverage and longest lasting color. Each slat can be covered with fabric. It can be glued on, or in some cases, slid into the sides of the slats, depending on the design of the blinds. Fabric needs to be thin enough to not add too much weight to each slat, but not so thin that the glue or the slats show through. Edges can be finished by gluing, rolling over and sewing a straight seam or adding an embellishment like decorative ribbon or cord. Wallpaper can be cut to size and pasted directly on to slats, opening up unlimited possibilities for colors and patterns. A coat of vinyl primer will help the wallpaper adhere to the blinds. Decorative wall decals can also be added to the slats. Cut into sections to fit on the strips, the decals can create a modern mural when the blinds are closed and add color and interest when they're open.

Probably can use Kryon paint for plastic but vertical blinds aren't that expensive..may want to buy new rather than try to cover the dark green

You can definitely paintthem. It appears almost anything can be painted with the right process. I painted my blinds hung them in the garage this was in the summer and the garage was hot I took hangers and hung them by the rafters. It worked great I used Krylon paint

@Patti kelley Was it Krylon Fabric paint or were they vinyl blinds?

Hi Jeanine Sorry I took so long getting back to you, a storm came through and our computer crashed! My blinds were vinyl mini blinds. I used Regular Krylon spray paint. From my experience Krylon and the Rustoleum spray paint are the best. I have seen fabric spray paint but I have'nt used it yet. I have painted all kinds of things lampshades, I hand painted my two upholstered , wingback chairs. I redid my kitchen countertops with a paint process. And i regularly spray paint shoes if I can't find the right color or price.

Can you paint blinds in the bathroom?
  • Patti kelley Patti kelley on Jul 23, 2016
I would'nt hesitate if I wanted to change the color Just use good paint like krylon or Rustoleum and of course take them to a well ventilated area to dry throughly and there should'nt be a problem
