Need some ideas on installing a carriage bolt for barn door track.

There isn't a stud behind wall where the last bolt needs to be installed and I can't find anchors big enough for the carriage bolt. Thanks!

If you don't have studs, I'd suggest a 2x4 installed over the door frame. Paint it the same color as your wall, and install the barn hardware to the 2x4. It would have to be the length of your hardware, and it would be long enough to attach to studs! Good luck!

We use these for all installations of heavy items where no stud is available. https://youtu.be/SC1ZuxuZ2PU

Use a toggle bolt. The butterfly opens in the wall and grips the back of the drywall when the bolt is tightened.

Love the 2x4 idea since I still need to use the carriage bolts that came with track

    .. thank you!
