Will the plastic sheeting, that you use to insulate big picture window

It would attach to the trim between the screens and the raw wood header and knee rail above and below. Both of the wood all the wood has been treated with Spar urethane one coat so I'm kind of wondering if that tape would stick to it that you have to put up to attach the sheeting.

    When you get ready to apply the tape, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry for a couple of minutes. The adhesive on the tape that comes with the window plastic is very aggressive. Once you get the plastic in place over the tape, the heat from the hairdryer you use to shrink the plastic will also cure the tape.
