before you do, what are you putting down and do you know what's under the rug. Wood stairs look lovely but there is a lot is sanding and refinishing involved. Plan this project and leave time for surprises to finish. Good luck. -

Easy - just start pulling up a corner of the carpet and pull out the staples as you go.
