I use the shelf liner that has the little weave holes in it. I have tile floors and it works great to keep the carpet in place. Can buy it at dollar store usually.

Try using pieces of the non-stick shelf liner ( I got mine from the dollar store) I use this under my wool area rug on laminate floor, rug doesn't move

I had a 4 x4 piece of the tacky liner under it and double faced tape about every 2 inches. Still moved

  • Purchase a rubber carpet grip mat - sold almost everywhere.

You can buy carpet to carpet pads, different sizes. There are also carpet to bare

floor pads, make sure you get the correct one. Walmart. Target even Big Lots

sell these. Lay the pad down, put the rug or carpet piece over it and that's all there is to it. They work great.........

This might work, I have an area rug that didn't want to stay straight so I put double stick Velcro on it, stay in place fine!

I never thought of Velcro, I will try it next, thanks so much

Try this...cut self stick floor tile and adhere to the corners or sides ( whichever is curling up) of the carpet on the backside...your carpet will now lay flat!
