Hi, you can't lighten up the polish the way you can paint. Start anew and save the dark one for another project. Good luck!
You can’t. Polish is not expensive.
At best you can start with an already damp rag and work really fast. Experiment where least noticeable.
Find some good old clear Jubilee floor wax.
