How do you remove a subway tile backsplash that was not put in wrong?

Pry them off by loosening the grout with a small chisel then sand and wipe down the wall to prepare for whatever backsplash you'll be replacing it with.

The tiles have to be scraped off. Once you get the first two tiles loose, the rest are easier.
