Is there a way to remove the excess grout?

Recently, we installed a backsplash in our kitchen...It was our first try at tile... is there a way to remove the excess grout from wall?
I would start by asking someone in the tile business or at a big box store.
Sanding?
Flat chisel
Wood molding as a trim
That looks like more than grout - probably mastic too. Try sanding it, or cutting it. A dremel tool would be handy. Once it is flat install a piece of molding to cover the edge.
I had the same problem with my kitchen floor tiles. Like the answer above, a chisel, some large grit sandpaper and good ole "elbow grease". Takes time, so be patient. Good Luck!

A small chisel would work. A flat head screw drive would work also.
You should be able to scrape it off if you can’t put up corner molding over it.
It will be very hard to get wood molding to fit tightly against the tile, and flat against the wall without first removing the bulk, and making the edge straight.
