How can I reuse broken mirror glass?

I had a framed mirror that had colored glass trim that fell and broke into pieces. Is there an idea that reuses or upcycles the broken glass pieces?

Saw someone who used broken mirror pieces to frame a large mirror. It was pretty.
Use it as a tile on a back splash in a pool side bathroom, as a frame, or on garden pots, but not in too sunny areas.

Definitely mosaic.. but be very careful of the jagged edges. I have been wanting to get a rock tumbler to use to try and soften broken edges but have not pulled the plug on buying one yet
