Upcycle a closet door
I bought a closet door at a yard sale. Any ideas what to do with it? My creative mind has gone blank.
When I did craft fairs I would use the screen to hang jewelry or wreaths that I made for sale. When I did painting on glass I hund them on the screen.
We use ours horizontally over 2 barrels and use it to dry things that cannot be hung up, also to dry some seeds.
You can also use it to filter soil, just be sure the screen is well attached.
We replaced the hollow core door to our pantry and used a wooden screen door...just added some wood appliques to dress it up and stained the wood to match the trim and baseboards...it looks great! Plus, it allows air flow into the pantry so it doesn't get so hot in there!
I hung one vertically on my wall and put little found items in each of the panel areas to accent the decor in my bedroom
If you are looking for something simple, the door can be cleaned up and used as decor. You can add corner decor pieces to give it a beautiful, vintage look. Prop it up in a room in the corner with an accent chair.
