I put down bags of fresh dirt along the path I wanted to make. I raked it smooth, placed the slabs where I wanted them to go on top of that dirt. Next, I poured a little more dirt around each piece of concrete, I brushed off any dirt that was on my new slab path. Last, I planted some ground cover around the outside edges. Over time, the slabs have seethed and the ground cover has grown in beautifully.

Laying a walking path in your yard or garden is the perfect way to reuse old concrete and doesn't require mortar. Select the size stones you want and arrange them in an interlocking pattern to make sure they fit. You may need to do additional chiseling.
