  • If it has sides, you could drill a few holes in the bottom and use it for an elevated garden bed. Use it to grow herbs or flowers. Good luck!

I found @Tjustice, I found a Melissa and Doug table with the removable insert and made it a train table/chalkboard/Duplo table. Painted one side with green chalk paint and that side is still a train table. I glued Duplo baseplates to the other side. Added another shelf to the bottom for train and track storage, and the existing drawer holds chalk and blocks. I know this isn't a true repurpose, but I added purpose!

Thanks for the answers, but I'm still hoping for more ideas.

If you have young children, the table is great for building Legos. Store the Legos in bins under the table. In a large family room, it could become a coffee table with underneath storage baskets or shelves for games.

My daughter turned my train table into a lego table. Glued lego plates onto top and my grandson loves it. Great use for an unused train table

I have the same activity table and am looking for some new ideas. I was thinking about putting wood planks over the top and adding hinges so the space could be used for storage. I would love to make it a craft table but have not figured out how to make it taller yet.
