First it needs to "cure" which can take anywhere from 6 months to a year depending upon size and thickness of the wood. Setting in the sun and turning often can speed the process up a bit. What do you want to make? Projects are only limited to your imagination. Log slices are popular for placemats, centerpiece decor, charcuterie or cheese boards. Trunks can be turned into outdoor stools for seating. Branches can be coat hooks, curtain rods, ornament tree.
