We save used coffee filters and use them in our compost

[torn up}. We also place them in the bottom of pots before adding planting soil. The filters stop the dirt from coming out thru the bottom hole but allow water through.

They would be very interesting as a back drop for a photo frame where the actual picture is smaller than the framed area; it would give a diversity of color & texture. It would also make very interesting texture & coloring for album covers [decoupage technique or clear lacquer finish would help seal the colors/paper in place], picture frames could be covered in it [same technique as above]. Artificial flowers would be really interesting to do! It would give a great diversity of colors as well.

There are so many uses for coffee filters other than what they are intended for. I, personally use mine to line the bottom of my potted plants so the dirt doesn't fall out wwater kinking.
