What to do with an old computer?

I replaced my computer. So I have a 17-inch thin screen monitor to do something with...as well as the old computer box. Any ideas?

Ask local Goodwill if they take donated computers.

Yes, ladies, I had thought of that...but I was asking how an old computer can be re-purposed. Any ideas?

The tower box can be used as a very creative Mailbox, Planter perhaps? The Monitor could be a picture Frame. Here is a one way to re-purpose that old PC, click on the link https://www.pinterest.com/pin/261349584597488774/ . Others have turned their PC goods into a Book Shelf, Bread Box and so on. Place the unit in various places, perhaps his will get your ideas rolling. Best to you.

If it's usable you can put it on Freecycle. I gave one away to someone who's granny still had a big box monitor. They were trying to bring her out of the stone age. lol. It was an old computer, so an older flat screen was perfect. Just tell them the truth about it and someone will want it.

I see commercials on tv all the time for the GW, stating they take computers, etc. as donations. However, I now see you want to repurpose. That might take some imagination! Our thrift stores take, and sell, almost all older tvs and computers.

As much as I like the repurposing of items, if the monitor still works give it to someone who can use it. Goodwill doesn't take technology any more because it changes too fast and they just have to toss it. A home schooler or senior could use it.
