What would you do with ...

Give the pasta to someone who does eat it. The container can be used to store just about anything if it seals tight. I use containers like that for the pastas we use, keeps the bugs out, and flour and sugar, anything the moths and little beetles like to get into for food. You can also use them for decorative purposes in the kitchen with some type of dried beans or multiple types in it with other containers like it of other food items.

Thanks for your ideas! Luckily, my jar is empty, but I do have bags of rice, beans, lentils, etc. I don't like to leave items in bags so your idea is definitely helpful. Thanks!

I have jars like this that work for anything that comes in a bag. I use them for rice, sugar, flour and even animal crackers, goldfish and lollipops for the grand-kids. As far as I'm concerned, you can't have too many of these, even if you don't eat pasta.

As you can see in photo I decided to use for trail mix since my partner takes it for work and eats as snack at home.

I never thought about storing treats for my grandkids though!

I store my glue sticks in them. Actually I have two of them with glue sticks. I do have a lot of the really long ones but short ones too.

Paint brush storage. you could get some cool frost spray paint, get some 3m painters tape. Cut out some shapes you like put the tape on the jar where ever you like then spray the paint over it. let it dry about 15 minutes. Take the tape off carefully and it will look awesome. Or use a different color glass paint.

Use it to store other food/flour/sugar/etc! It looks great in a pantry or cabinets, especially when you add labels, looks a lot more organized! I recently got some labels from the dollar tree in canada when I was visiting there, but here's one that I found on dollar tree's website that may look nice

Lentils, split peas, beans.... etc.

I use mason jars for everything I want to stay fresh and air tight. See below. I glued burlap ribbon around the covers and added chalkboard stickers to label them. If you wanted to use the jar for decoration on the counter you can fill with different colored beans in a pattern.

Fill it with your favorite little collectibles, miniatures, or rocks. A nice flower vase. Use for infused oil or vinegar. Decorate the outside with glass paint.

For a deco piece, get some battery operated string lights and some of your favorite artificial flower blooms or just some moss and whatever you can imagine. The possibilities are endless and the contents of the jar are always interchangeable should you need a fresher or more seasonal change of decor.

Put pine cones in it with a set of battery lights. Also at Christmas put layers of different candies

I like to store dry beans in mine, I have black beans in one now... It keeps them fresher, (after you open the bag) and they look pretty too! And in my book that's a win, win!
