Any ideas on how to cover an egress window?
Any ideas on how to cover an egress window and still let the light shine in. We do not want it totally blacked out, and worried that a child may fall in, or maybe us!. We do not what To use the big plastic covers that are seen in the stores.

Perhaps repurpose an old window screen, screwing in tabs so you can secure it in place with tent stakes. While not as impact resistant as hard plastic, it’s at least an obstacle to be avoided and noticed.Or fill the hole with two layers of empty water bottles to soften a fall. -
