I have a hexagon window as well . I have a large gold star hanging in mine . At Christmas time I remove the star and put a lit wreath inside that you can view from the outside .

I used sea glass spray paint. There are several colors to choose from. Be sure to open windows and turn on vents as you don't want to breath in the fumes

I have an oval window in my front door. An Episcopal priest told me how to make it after I admired those in his round/hexagonal windows. It is fabric gathered in the middle. I used two separate ready made curtains and a faille bow . . . really two bows sewn together so one opened horizontally and the other vertically. I drew one curtain through each bow. I had a wooden frame screwed in place that exactly fit the rectangle. Somehow I arranged the fabric in sort of gathers that ended up being sewn to velcro so I can remove this curtain to wash. I have had it more years than I like to remember. I wash it at least once a year in the kitchen sink, dry it on the line. Has held up wonderfully.
