I think you would need to sew a pocket at the top for rod.
You can use curtain clips! I love them, makes it easy to redecorate any time you wish.
If the fabric has a water resistant plasticized coating, then I would caution you about spending too much money to mount these elsewhere in the home. Depending on the print or pattern, they may look too 'bathroomy'.
You could use skinny down rods or they sell hooks that clip on then you could slid on a rod
i have two pair of shower curtains on my windows right now..i even use the ball bearing type of shower curtain hook/clips...! However, I have a valance that covers up the top, so one cannot see the hooks. I bought my curtains at the local thrift shop...so pretty! Really matches my couch and carpeting...and, no, you cannot tell that they are shower curtains...paisley pattern...nice!
