It depends on what you want to do. If you use a permanent marker it may be permanent on the window, although you should be able to remove it from glass by using alcohol or a few other ingredients. If you use a DIY frame, you could create the project, put it up, take it down, then put it back up at another time. Ultimately the choice is yours, depending on the project and how long you want to have it showing. Wishing you the best.
You could use dry erase markers instead. I'm not sure what effect you want.
