I saw something on line about how to get rid of spiders my using coconut oil and something else but I lost the recipe. If anyone remembers what else and how much I should use I would really like to hear from you.

Keller Pest Control on Feb 18, 2013A lot depends on where you are trying to get control and the type of spiders you are dealing with identifying the Spider type is very important because of the life cycle and biology of that spider. Use of desiccants (Delta dust for example) but only use it in enclosed areas under the baseboards,walls, attics protected areas you wont be getting into and air flow will not come out of. One thing that works well with all spiders especially brown recluses is the use if sticky traps/glue boards in corners of the rooms and under furniture, behind toilets, in closets. This is probably the most effective method of spider control Since spiders are predators what happens is some other insect will get stuck and the spider tries to eat it and gets stuck itself Be careful that kids, pets or yes your husband doesn't get stuck try to hide them. If they do and its hard to remove use vegetable oil on the glue and then remove it. As far as natural spider control the following is some research that I did I have not used these methods and so I can't recommend them but the chemistry behind it makes some sense . If you can in your home you should try to have lighter-colored walls and floors, reduce clutter - spiders love things under beds and corners of the rooms. You will for sure find spiders in a cluttered home. Clean and dust on a regular basis As far as Natural oils ( I haven't used any of these so let me know if you have success.)Add up to 5 drops of essential oil and up to 5 drops of natural dish washing liquid to 1 qt. (1 l) of water. The following essential oils work well as spider repellents (especially citrus): Just one drop of these oils in 1 quart of water citronella oil lavender oil cinnamon oil peppermint oil citrus oil tea tree oil Crushed Chestnuts Will Chase Spiders Fresh chestnuts have been used for centuries to chase spiders. You have to use fresh crushed chestnuts anywhere you find an entry point, it will stop them in their tracks and they will run away. Herbal Solution & Spider Pest Control Pennyroyal will chase spiders away, just sprinkle pennyroyal in area that spiders frequent and they will never come back. You can buy pennyroyal in any health food store. White Vinegar Will Solve Corner Cobweb Problems Once you notice a problem area that seems to always end up with cobwebs just take a solution of about a cup of white vinegar with a teaspoon of coconut oil added. Spiders will move out of that corner once and for all. Kill Spiders With Salt Mix 1 ounce of table salt in 1 gallon of warm tap water, shake well to make sure the salt dissolves. Spray directly on the spiders to kill them, especially if you see a nest. Make sure you don't spray around your plants.Helpful Reply
