Debbie Borthwick on Mar 31, 2013If people make their own rain barrels, the screen would be useful for the top to keep out bugs and mosquitoes. Or construct a frame and use it for dehydrating herbs when picked.Helpful Reply

Energy Wise Mfg. on Mar 31, 2013Those are good ideas Debbie, I've got probably 200 pounds of screen remnants so I hope there are a lot of takers. Some people have the ability to send everything and anything they don't need to the curb for the garbage men, not me, I seem to think most, especially new stuff could have a use.Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Mar 31, 2013I used some in my food dryer to keep finer and smaller herbs from falling trough the larger holes in the drying racks. I see all kind of ads in the back of "Mother Earth News" for food dryers and such...this would be a good demographic to target.Helpful Reply

Gail Salminen on Mar 31, 2013@Energy Wise Mfg. I think @ has a great idea. I would only add to that, that it may also be useful over ponds for the same reason as well as to keep some animals from accessing fish. I will share your idea on Pinterest to try and generate more ideas on your site. Would be good to add info to your site as well about this project so that forms will be submitted. Thanks for posting and I hope more people share this as well! :) Oops - tried to pin but it requires an image to pin it - could you possible add an image?? I really would love to pin it for you.Helpful Reply

Jayme on Mar 31, 2013Is this metal screening or vinyl/nylon screening. Is this in rolls or sheets? large and small sizes? Interesting in learning a bit more about it?Helpful Reply

Energy Wise Mfg. on Mar 31, 2013The screen is a high-end coated fiberglass and it is remnants, that means it was cut off of rolls as we made screens and is large and small pieces, remnants!Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on Apr 01, 2013If you have a local community garden, contact them. Screening can be used to put over a frame to keep out animals (can be wired together for longer pieces if needed). And those folks love projects. And they teach rain barrel classes so the might could use it...just a thought.Helpful Reply
