Can you identify this plant?

This came up in the corner of my yard next to the fence. I dug it up and replanted it in my perennial bed, because it looked like it might be something good! Can anyone tell me what it might be?

could be Russian sage,will have shoots of purple flower ,can reseed if you had it last year or neighbor has it .could also be blue salvia ,close in nature.Check out on web.

Looks like what we called in childhood wild rhubarb. I'm thinking weed. I have had them in my garden as well and just pulled them out.

Foxgloves will definitely self-sow if you have them anywhere else, or somewhere nearby does.

Best solution is to leave it alone for a while and see what it does. Then you'll know if you want to keep it, or throw it away.
But I do think it is a weed. sorry

It's a foxglove. If you like it, you'd better learn to love it!  I had a few show up years ago, and they reseed and reseed and reseed! We don't mind, I love the pretty purples and creamy whites of the flowers, and it's kind of fun to watch and see where they show up each Spring. I've dug some up and moved them to flower pots - they're pretty hearty plants.

this is a weed. we live on a large farm and this stuff takes over EVERY THING !! I have not yet found a way to get rid of it. you might want to dig it back up fast. from what I have seen it spreads by root under ground. a real pain.
