Paul M on Feb 11, 2012Ok, thanks Woodbridge. Appliances are like opinions, everyone has one and everyone thinks they are right while everyone else is mistaken. Seriously you'll just have to buy what you think is good and do some research because they are all basically the same. I'll give you an example. I bought a dishwasher about 5 years ago and a friend of mine said that I had made a mistake because that brand was no good. So I did my research and that brand scored as good as anyone else but that particular model did not have good reviews. Now here it is 5 years later and we haven't had one bit of trouble out of that machine. So I believe that you will find that there are some mistakes made in building them and some of those mistakes make it to us, the public. Some have no errors at all so you really won't know if you have something that is defect free or not until you actually have it around for a while. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Feb 11, 2012Your exactly right on this Ernestine, Many appliances are pretty well made. And of course all have their lemons as with any other product mass produced. What really makes the difference is how one uses it and takes care of it as well. I had a small S-10 pickup. Had an issue with it, took it to local shop. He told me the engine was shot and that I needed a new one. I decided to work on that engine and found that it needed a new part. A very low cost part. Installed it and got another 200,000 miles out of the engine. Point being. It is all how you look at things and what you do to maintain. If you abuse an appliance it will break. I see it all the time.Helpful Reply
