KMS Woodworks on May 09, 2013There is a franchise outfit that specializes in this. They are Miracle Method. http://www.miraclemethod.com/ceramic-tile-refinishing.htm doing this as a DIY does not hold up well to traffic. I have used them for some client projects ( tub and counters)Helpful Reply

Mary Insana on May 09, 2013Are you talking about a tile floor or wall? I have smooth tile floor and I absolutely hate it and would love to do something other than take it all out and replace it.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on May 09, 2013Floors are a tricky thing to do. They take a lot of abuse from foot traffic not to mention kids toys and critters that may roam the home. I would suggest you put down a floating laminate floor. It will last a long enough time until you can eventually remove all of it and install the floor that you always wanted.Helpful Reply

TJ on May 12, 2013Leslie, Rustoleum Tile Transformation is one the few ways to DIY. I have been researching this same topic for several weeks as I am desperate to change the color of our recently tiled bathroom shower walls. There are professionals that say they can do this but it costs more than I can afford. The Rustoleum product isn't cheap but cheaper than the professionals. There is another product that is way cheaper but the reviews say it doesn't hold up to a lot of water use or heavy traffic. Good luck. If you find a great product, I would love to know.Helpful Reply

DysArtTiles on Aug 02, 2015Ceramic tile, especially glossy ones, is made to be impervious for oh...10,000 years or so. I have been doing and painted designs for 30+ years and have never found a way to remove or paint over already shiny tile. No matter what the businesses say, you will never have the look of originally glazed tile that was fired onto the tile at 2000 degrees.Helpful Reply
