Donna McCrummen on Mar 18, 2012http://recycledfurniturereno.net Hi Thomas. I buy old furniture all the time so here is some advice. When buying an old dresser check the that the drawers are dovetailed and tight. Be sure they open and close easily. Don't be deterred by dirt but do check closely for deep scratches that could have been covered up using an oil scratch cover....If you want to paint the dresser there are lots of techniques and products to get the job done. Check out my facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/ShabbyDazeNJ Good Luck let me know if I can help further.Helpful Reply
