Tanyua T on Apr 08, 2012It is a wool rug and I do not want to send it out. There is no particular stain..., it just needs to be cleaned. I thought there might be something tried-and-proven, on the market.Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Apr 08, 2012I've cleaned our big Persian Rugs out on the deck with our power washer...This is a trick I learned after visiting a large Persian rug gallery...there was a guy out back washing rugs. If you do not have a power washer you can often rent one or rent a "carpet" cleaning machine. One advantage to a rug is your can hang them for faster drying.Helpful Reply

Tanyua T on Apr 08, 2012Hey, this sounds great and I appreciate your response--However, I negated to state that I live in an apartment/condo---I have two terraces, but I do not have a deck and by me living on the 3rd floor I KNOW my neighbors who live below would not appreciate it.Helpful Reply

Trish M on Apr 08, 2012I was gonna say Power wash it Too.But in your case.Just put a lil Oxy Clean in the Shampooer tank.Worked wonders on our carpets when we were in an apt.and Couldn't do them on the deck.If you have hard wood floors you may wanna put a tarp under neath.Otherwise it does Great on Tile Grout Too. Good LuckHelpful Reply

LandlightS on Apr 08, 2012If you have a hose available to you, take the rug outside, wash with a mild detergent or "woolite" type soap, and rinse very well. Drape across a ladder or some chairs or even let it dry flat.Helpful Reply

Betty B on May 26, 2012Just use Dawn dishwashing liguid, mix with warm water, then use a rag that is only moistened, keep going over the areas. Do not use any products such as resolve this attracts the dirt. I have also used a commerical professional - all dry cleaning system for orientalsHelpful Reply

Z on Jul 15, 2012You might want to try Spot Shot, but you'll have to check for colorfastness first. You can find info about that here.... http://www.spotshot.com/faqs/#a36 And no I do not work for the company. I just happen to love the product.Helpful Reply
