I need help organizing my bedroom without a dresser

861650 on Apr 14, 2016Try "sturdy" cardboard boxes. If they do not have lids, make one from another box and tape only the back so you can open and shut it keeping dust from getting in. In neat, large letters, label each one, (only if you want to.) You can group them in two to three groups like the size of a dresser and another one for your chest of drawers. You can decorate them with wrapping paper on the outside only. It's up to you. Or, go to a Dollar Store and get some clothes baskets. For instance, get three red baskets for a dresser, three yellow baskets for a chest of drawers, etc. Or, buy all neutral colors and tape a neat sign on the front of each one, this way they will not stick out like a sore thumb.Helpful Reply

Janet Pizaro on Apr 14, 2016Start with organizing you closet. Purge anything that you have not used in awhile. Then sort out the balance. Shoes can go into the plastic boxes laying one onto of another.Your pocketbooks could be hung on a bag organizer. They sell the space saving bags that you vacuum the air out of to put any clothes you will not be wearing right now. Once that is finished Maybe purchase some baskets or plastic crates so that you can place one on top of another for what ever else you need to store.Helpful Reply

MN Mom on Apr 14, 2016You can store items under your bed in space saver bags or zipper bags /fabric storage containers. Lots of room under your bed for sure! If bedroom closet space is limited, think about putting your purses in a front hall closet or hanging them on a peg rail or old fashioned coat rack. Ditto for coats. If you're renting you can use Command hooks and strips to adhere hooks, etc to your walls without doing damage.Helpful Reply

Debi53 on Apr 14, 2016Use clear shoe bags to store anything--underwear, hose, socks, caps, gloves, scarves, bracelets, and, oh yeah, shoes. These can be hung over doors or can be hung on the wall with screws. They are inexpensive and take up no floor or closet space. They can be hung on the outside of your shower curtain to hold bath items and on a kitchen door to hold packets, spice jars, rolled up kitchen towels; the list is endless. Even though the pockets are clear, I still label each pocket so that I know what goes back into it. Also you can create a 'dresser' by taking a few large 3-4 plastic drawer units and putting 2-3 side by side and a second row on top. This will give you drawer space now and can be separated later and used in other areas.Helpful Reply

Kayo Frazier on Apr 14, 2016Use vertical space...Make box 1-2 shelf around the top of the room. Kinda like this... https://www.pinterest.com/pin/532621093409063807/ This will give you the space to store all kinds of stuff without taking up space on the floor. You can add boxes to hide stuff or show off knick knacks...whatever works for you.Helpful Reply
