William on May 09, 2016If the corner is the only place you have to store, you could get a narrow or one panel of drape that has a pattern or looks like a tapestry and hang it from the ceiling. Get a narrow hollow core door, plywood, boards, paint a design that fits with you decor and lean that in the corner.Helpful Reply

Susan Bechamp on May 10, 2016Amazon and EBay sell vacuum covers for upright vacuums. If you just can't hide them , make them part of your decor. Use the image as inspiration and make your own.Helpful Reply

SBlizzard on May 10, 2016I made a narrow three panel screen for my daughter's apartment. Painted one side distressed cream and the other side with chalkboard paint. Worked great to hide her vacuum and broom and didn't take up much space.Helpful Reply

Mother on May 10, 2016If you're handy with a sewing machine, and your vacuum cleaner is an upright one, dress it up like a maid. So funky and amusing there's no need to hide it. Am I right in thinking your steamer is a similar size/shape? A pair of maids, then, or maid+ butler. Or let your imagination run riot and dress as your favourite film star pairing. Lots of pix on the internet if you google. Take inspiration from the 2-dimension wooden 'valets' of the 1930s.Helpful Reply

Susan on May 10, 2016I think I would build or purchase one of those 3 panel screens. If you built it yourself you could make it as high as you wish and use fabric to match your decor. Or perhaps use of those reed-type blinds in the frame?Helpful Reply

Susan on May 10, 2016Also wanted to add...I have a BIG ol' sheddin' maniac dog so my vacuum lives in the middle of wherever I stopped using it. It's part of the landscape after all these years. HaHa!Helpful Reply

Carolyn on May 14, 2016oh, we have so much in common; few closets here also. I'm not sure if you have a handyman around; but, if you do here ia an option. go to a second hand store and purchase an older style tv entertainment center with doors and remove the shelving. I love how it turned out; plus a nice looking piece of furniture. the bottom doors had glass in them I had my spouse remove them and have curtains inside the bottom door, with tiny curtain rods; this unit just happen to have had 4 doors; but two doors will do.Helpful Reply
