Anjwld on May 18, 2016Look up Green Spider Plant - Cholorphytum. If this is the plant (there will be some that are stripped but mine are solid green) they are great fill in plants around trees. I had a potted one once and left it out under the tree when we first moved into our new home and now 20 years later it is all around it, beautiful cover. It started out as a hanging plant. I pick the "babies" off and replant them to give as gifts. Easy starter plant, very minimal care needed.Helpful Reply

Lynn Palmatier on May 18, 2016Take your picture to a good local plant nursery and ask them about the plant. I could be a grass. There are types that grow in bunches. A good nursery will know exactly what you have. Don't take guesses. It is best to know from an expert. If you didn't plant it and your lawn grass is near by, seeds can grow if they get in the garden. More than likely it was transported by the birds. You could take part of the plant with you to the nursery, just incase they don't feel comfortable identifying a picture.Helpful Reply

Candy on May 18, 2016flower. I planted Dianthus from seed last fall and this is exactly what it looks like. flower spikes will next shoot up and lovely scented deep pink flowers will open . It should bloom throughout the summer unless you don't water during hot dry spells or your summers are extremely hot.Helpful Reply
