I need to have 75' of galvanized pipe replaced; which is better? CPVC lines or copper? $1000 difference in estimate.

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on May 09, 2012PEX, unless your talking about drain, then PVC is better. The issue with CPVC is more difficult to get the fittings if you want to tap into the line. But for water supply go the PEX route. Just be sure that they use enough supports so it does not make noise. Copper for drains or for water feed lines is great product, but with price of copper you can get 100 feet of PEX for the cost of 10 foot of copper. Also much faster to put in then copper.Helpful Reply
