My golden pear tomato plant gives me mushy tomatoes, why?

KMS Woodworks on Jun 27, 2013some varieties are "mushier" than others...have you grown this type before? and if so, did you get mushy fruit then?. variations in soil moisture is the leading cause for texture changes in the fruit, that and storage conditions. Tomatoes should not be stored in cold location ( like the fridge)Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Jun 28, 2013I'm with KMS. If that variety of pear tomato isn't measuring up, plant a different variety next year.Helpful Reply
