Pam on Jun 09, 2012Lowes and Home Depot have something called snake repellent. And moth balls help keep them away. Rat poison will kill them but they won't eat the poison, you have to get mice to eat the poison and the snake to eat the mice before they die from the poison as the snakes like to catch and eat it's prey live.Helpful Reply

Keller Pest Control on Jun 10, 2012First of all its important to determine if the snakes are poisonous or not. I reccomend a professional if they are. Dont spend the extra money for the name brand snake away or any snake repellant. You can buy mothballs and crush them in a sock or bag with a small sledge hammer. Spread them around the home and in suspicious areas. They will help greatly. Look around your property for suspicious areas that snakes would like. Wood pile, clutter rocky areas and clean those areas up.and apply mothballs.Helpful Reply

Pam on Jun 10, 2012I have had little garden snakes in the 10 years of living in my condo but I have not seen any this year and have been upset about this. They eats bugs and I consder them friends. Where oh where did my little snakes go?What could have caused them to vacate my garden. It was the little black ones with teal green stripes longwise. I used to see baby ones when they hatched and now nothing.Helpful Reply

Becky H on Jun 10, 2012I for one have no issue with nonvenomous snakes and welcome them to my garden! It's the venomous snakes I don't like. Fortunately, the black racers help to keep the nasty ones away.Helpful Reply
