Wicker chairs

I was given 2 white wicker chairs and the paint is chipping off really bad. I want to repaint them white but I don't know what kind of paint to use. Should I use spray or brush? Do I use a primer? Would it be ok to lightly use a pressure washer and brush to clean the paint off? They are in great condition but just need some paint.

I've had great success with spray paint. I didn't need primer using Rust-o-leum. Yes, I washed my wicker using the garden hose and let it dry in the sun. Turn the wicker upside down to try the pressure washer on the underneath first to see how it does. It might be just fine.
