William on Jul 25, 2016Another thing to check! If the faucet is an older that use washers, you may have a bad or loose washer. When the water is turned on low, the washer bounces and can cause the bang or vibration. When the water is turned on full, the water pressure pushes the washer against the seat and bang/vibration are gone.Helpful Reply

Lorraine on Jul 30, 2016The pipes may not have enough clips where they have been attached to the joists of the housed. They could also have air pockets in the pipes, combining both will make the cold water pipes bang.Helpful Reply
