BeazerBea on Jul 29, 2013@sheyderk from the photo,, it appears to be a weed, such as a milk thistle- which some folks are fond of. You have two choices....let it finish -bloom stage if you like it -keep it or option b-pull it...making sure you have the roots in tact- place in brown paper bag and throw it away.Helpful Reply

Michelle S on Jul 30, 2013it may be burdock, I may have spelled it wrong. I see what looks like Velcro type pods or orbs, do they cling to you clothing? We have something similar here in western NY. Our cats get burdock tangled in their fur.Helpful Reply

Shelly Derk on Jul 30, 2013The leaves are very soft so I do believe it is an Abutilon theophrasti. The thistles are soft too. I guess since everything on it was so soft it might not be a weed but apparently it is! Thanks for the help everyone!Helpful Reply
