Michelle Leslie on Jul 27, 2016I'm not sure if there's a handrail on the walls (I'm assuming there is?) but you could put some string lights on the handrail for some extra lighting.Helpful Reply

Deb Gondick Gemuend on Jul 27, 2016do NOT wallpaper your stairway, it will cost a fortune. Paint it a light color and then add the small motion detector lights down by the steps, or hire an electrician to put in a cool list fixture.Helpful Reply

Laila Garrett on Jul 27, 2016wallpaper is so expensive to begin with, instead paint the walls a light color and try a stencil. If you don't rearrange a lot you could mark where your pictures hang and stencil where they would be with a border stencil. You can also buy a tree stencil if the wall is family photos . I have seen where the pictures have little lights in the frames. https://www.amazon.com/Rite-Lite-LPL602B-Wireless-Picture/dp/B004V9CXRY/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1469650491&sr=8-6&keywords=picture+frames+with+lightsHelpful Reply

Liz Straughn on Jul 28, 2016Paint is cheaper and can be replaced more easily. See if an electrician can hang pretty lights down the stairwell. Rather than lots of photos, I'd stick to a few larger art pieces. Personally, I don't like to stand in the middle of a stairwell looking at photos. It's just not comfortable.Helpful Reply
