Has anybody hung curtains of two different colors together on one window?

Garage door windows........
What is a tasteful and good looking way to cover up garage door windows? So if someone looks in there they can't see what's in there? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
We did a 3-season sun porch with 10 windows. I chose sheer curtains in colors that are in the furniture. Ended up with about 4 different colors, including one patterned sheer, and mixed them up. We really like the look and get compliments on the look from friends and family. Don’t be afraid to try something different. I am usually pretty conservative but we are very happy with the way it turned out.
I redid our home office, painted all the second-hand, eclectic furniture pieces satin black to pull them together. The walls had already been painted light green, and the room has one oversized window on the wall opposite the entry door (the larger of two desks sits along that wall.) I wanted to incorporate a pop of bright orange into the predominant green & black color scheme so spray painted the two desk lamps orange and retrieved a favorite art print from storage which incorporates several bright colors, including green and orange, spray painted the print's silver frame a flat black and added an orange DIY picture mat. (Instructions for different types of DIY picture mats are all over the internet.) I wallpapered the bottom half of the window wall with a pattern of mostly white, black and green, with pops of orange and added a small trim piece at the top of the wallpaper, again painted flat black. (Wallpaper extends 33 inches up the wall, measuring from the top of the floor boards.) Window treatments: curtains in 63 inch length, one pair of black semi sheers, one pair of green sheers and one pair of orange sheers (same curtains, different colors, very sheer), added a 213" window scarf, the same sheer fabric and same color as the green curtain panels. I hung the orange and green sheers together on the inside rod (one panel of each color on each side of the window) and on the outer rod, I hung the black semi-sheers, one panel on each side, and strung the sheer, green scarf over the same rod. (Outer rod is decorative rod I've had for years, an "extra soldier", used when needed. It was painted brushed silver from last use, now painted black for this tour of duty.) The sheer curtains have a light and airy look and feel, brighten the room and make it cheery and inviting! (I bought new curtains for this project, which turned out to be nicer than I expected, for a price that didn't bust my conservative DIY budget! They were an Amazon bargain at $5.85 a pair [2 panels per pair] for the 63" length, each panel is 54 inches wide, they come in 25 beautiful, bright colors, 5 lengths, and $7.99 a pair was the most expensive [for the 120" length]. The 216 inch scarf was $5.75, also available in 25 colors. For $24.90, which included sales tax & free shipping, they added the biggest impact to a DIY overhaul that some comments from friends/guests compared to an expensive, professional re-do. We all know that satisfying feeling when we hit a DIY home run! :-)
Yes you can do that, just make sure the panels are all the same length and the colors coordinate.
Yes in my living room. Burgandy plain with Burgandy plaid on the outside. Finished the window!
