How to use these plastic tops?
not using the plastic covers that come with them.
Does this community have any craft ideas or uses
for these TOPS that are never used?
Thx much

Jackie Byrd on Sep 13, 2016You could take up a new profession as a Shell Game shark. Instead of cards used in 3 Card Monte you can use cup lids and a pea. Maybe put a piece of black tape over the sippy opening so that the mark can't see the pea.Helpful Reply

Kelly Zona on Sep 13, 2016Maybe use them under small clay pots, you'd have to cover the hole of course otherwise you would lose the water... Maybe I can think of something else,I'll let you know :-)Helpful Reply

Deanna Nassar on Sep 13, 2016Well some of the obvious would be pens, pencils, art supply sorting, place to start plants instead of those peat pots. Can be decorated using any kind of paint, crayons, ribbon, or other covering. If plant pots remember they are only for temporary use. Upside down they could become hat for a larger doll. With a small hole cut in bottom they could display something small like fancy Easter eggs. Add something for a clapper and can be a bell. Don't recall where I saw it but someone used several to create a wreath. The tops could be painted and add pictures to decorate tree. Use tops to store/separate meat patties going into the freezer. Ok so I may have an overactive imagination.Helpful Reply

CK on Sep 14, 2016Well I'm sure there are tons of ideas for crafts. But personally I'd take them to the recycle center (or put them in the recycle bin if your community does that). Plastic recycled has so many more uses .... and it stays out of the landfills :-)Helpful Reply

Trudy Pearl on Sep 14, 2016I use them & the frosted & clear shallow ones as bottom filler trays in my flower pots with a hole in the bottom. They still have a drain hole but the water can't drain your soil out. They also take up air space so you don't have to use as much potting soil depending on where they stick when dropped in the flower pot. It forms a false bottom.Helpful Reply

Marilyn Zaruba on Sep 14, 2016I do not buy coffee when I am out, but could you ask them to not use the lid since it will be wasted. If they are REQUIRED to use it (spillage, etc.) just recycle them. My recycler even takes certain styrofoam now although slabs of Styrofoam are great in the bottom of huge planters to keep them lightweight and use less potting soil....beware if the planters are tall and thin, this would make them too top heavy.Helpful Reply

Melanie Smith on Sep 14, 2016Make Christmas ornaments. You can paint them any color and glue adornments as you wish. Use the hole for sipping to add ribbon or twine to hang.Helpful Reply
