Did you get the spot out? The same thing just happened to me
Same thing has happened to me ... steam cleaner left on laminate - it seems that it's taken the top layer of shine off ... I tried the veg oil and it didn't work ... HELP!
I do like all the answers that have been given. I actually tried Minwax paste thinking it might work since it has no water in it. No go. So, after reading the various responses above, I called Pergo customer service. They answered on the first ring. The answer from Pergo is that if you have leftover pieces of LVP, which we do, replace it because there is no way to restore what was damaged by steam. And, as Paul Harvey used to say, "Now you know the rest of the story."
Try mayo on it and see what will it look like
