What flowers should I use for my Christmas arrangments?
What flowers are the best for Christmas flower arranging? And does anyone have advice for how to make artificial flower arrangements?

If you want to use real flowers, poinsettias, red amaryllis, holly, Christmas roses, and mistletoe are great choices to use in an arrangement.
How To Make Christmas Flowers!
How To Make An Outdoor Christmas Arrangement Using A Very Easy System!
I like Ariel's comment above. What purpose are you wanting to use flowers for? Is this a mantel display? Table display? For mantels, I would use tall where for tables I would use more low flowers and holly to see the person across from you. Do you want to do a table scape with flowers and candle mixed down the middle? Are you creating an outdoor arrangement for the front door - depending on climate - then faux is the way to go. I also love very well made red and white hydrangeas.
I like using ones without much scent because there are so many other smells going on there.
I like the typical Christmas flowers and plants -- poinsettias, any kind of evergreen, including holly, add in some pine cones. White mums look great mixed in with Christmas flowers. Amaryllis and paperwhites are good if you're looking for taller plants to stand on their own or in groups, and amaryllis come in a variety of colors, as do poinsettias. Red or white roses and/or carnations would also be nice in any Christmas floral arrangement.
Hmmm, no one has asked you yet? Where in the world are you located (literally)? I think that is one good question, and, like some others, what/where do you plan on using this Christmas floral arrangement? Basket or vase?
Fresh or faux?
Sorry, but that is what someone needs to know...and more!!! Bright reds and greens, or deep magentas with crisp whites and silvers?
Is this occasion at your place, or did you say you'd bring the flowers to the gathering?
Okay, mind blown-got it...so, there's the little reminders to help you out when you need to make a Christmas, or any other, floral arrangement. 💐
Hey, Thanks for the info!
So, for outdoor floral displays, I would start with a wreath for the front door, which can be made from real pine or fir cuttings as your base, then add real and faux floral decoration to your liking-pine cones, berries, twigs, flowers in your colors-if the real thing isn't available, go faux (It rhymes-Hehee!).
For your front porch, get 1, 2-or more 3-4' trees, again real or fake. Decorate with the same findings as the wreath.
For the wreath and trees, I like to add white lights and some beautiful ribbon/bows. Check Hometalk's archives for ideas about bow-and wreath-making if needed. For Christmas, I like burgundy, forest green and silver, but you choose your favorites and you can also add shiny ornaments to the display.
Flowers-Poinsettias and carnations in all colors and sizes. Roses, Stargazer lilies, Amaryllis, Paperwhites and Christmas cactus are all beautiful indoors for our temperature zones.
I hope that I gave you some ideas, even though it is Dec 28!!! A lot of these things you can find premade (as far as the wreath base, etc).
Have a Happy New Year!!!
I like using red and white roses. I don't make flower arrangements but I use them to make flower rings for candles. https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2015/01/easy-diy-candle-floral-rings.html
