How can I get my gray undershirts white?
My DH wears sleeveless undershirts and no matter what we try they always turn a dingy gray. How can we keep them white or make them white, again?
I have just been told if you crush up several full aspirin dissolve in warm water then put in your whites then it's.... hay presto all white again.
soak in borax and dawn dish liquid, use water suitable to the fabric, but the warmer the better
I soak some things in hydrogen peroxide and water overnight. Vinegar works for some items too. Trial and error.
I use hydrogen peroxide along with laundry detergent in my washer for my whites. Bleach tends to make them dingy, yellow, and will damage the fabric over time.

Thank you all for your replies. I tried the aspirin with water. I may need to do this a few more times, but I can see results. I also mixed the aspirin with lemon juice, that works well also.
Pour white vinegar in the final rinse.
thank you will try this
I swear by Biz and Tide in hot water.

I always use vinegar and either Borax or baking soda along with a reduced amount of detergent and non-chlorine bleach. When would I use peroxide? Wash cycle? Rinse? Only for whites?
