When they get dirty, hand wash them using dish washing liquid and let them air dry. Good as new.
Back in the day. . . mothers used to clean babies high white shoes while the baby napped. That included washing the shoelaces. I did this often. The way to do it is to take the shoe laces and rub them on a bar of soap like Fels Naptha, rub the shoe laces together and then rinse thoroughly. Then run each shoe lace through your fingers to make it straight and neat. Finish by drying by hanging.
When I was in high school, we wore white canvas "tennies" to keep the shoes white, we used white shoe polish.. when dirty wash the shoes and re-apply polish when dry.
For the laces... hand wash them with just a little bleach to get them nice and white... rinse and then when they are dry, spray them with starch... the dirt sticks to the starch and not the laces. When they get dirty, just wash them and re-apply starch when they have dried
Wash them frequently or use Plimsole white on them
I throw them in the wash with other whites, bleach or bleach alternative and detergent. I put them in a hosiery bag to keep them from getting lost or tangled.
Soak them in bleach overnight in hot water. When their in your shoes, use soap and water to wipe them as soon as they start not looking white.
