How can I insulate a bedroom closet?
I have a closet off my bedroom, nice size, but freezing in winter.. not insulated, in Spring, I intend to have it done on outside, how do I get it warmer on inside?
Lived in a 100 year old house and had insulation blown in through holes drilled in outside of house & then replaced, patched and repainted. Another old house (old farm type) I also added siding.
I agree with Chris! Blown in insulation is the best way to go. Frame house are done from the outside. Brick homes are done from the inside. Holes are strategically drilled in the walls and insulation is blow into the wall cavities. Then the holes are plugged or patched.
I agree with Chris. It may also be able to be done down from the attic and up from the cellar through the walls, depending on the build. And of course insulate any attic space and seal windows.
Thank you for your insight I will pass along. My friend Christine lives in a plank house. Thank you.
